Collimator

The temperature of polls of magnets located downstream of the T1 target will exceeds Curie temperature and the magnets will lose their magnetis powers. As protection of the magnets against the heat, a collimator is placed just downstream of the target. The figure below shows the result of simulation on the temperature of the collimator. In order to resist a huge amount of heat, the collimator is made of copper and cooled by water.
