The beam dump for the slow-extraction beam line

The beam dump for the slow-extraction beam line will be installed at the end part of the beam line in NP-hall. It is required to absorb the total energy of 750kW beam power safely. The schematic drawing shows the designed shape of the beam dump. At the cernter of the core part, there is a hole with taper shape, where the temperature would increase. The core part of the beam dump is made of copper, which has high heat conductivity. Water channels will be installed on the surface of the dump core in order to cool down the core.
